Portuguese and Spanish conquerors brought the chili plants from America to Europe around the year 1500. The colonial powers brought the plants to South Asia via Africa. India´s fertile climate proved to be ideal and the newly discovered spice quickly became an integral part of Indian cuisine. Our India chilli is of medium pungency. The dark red to reddish brown fruits come from controlled organic cultivation. Use our India chillies in sauces, soups, stews, pasta dishes, goulash and stews.
