Dead sea salt | fine | 0.1-1.0 mm

Product information "Dead sea salt | fine | 0.1-1.0 mm"

What is it about / Product description

This fine Dead Sea salt from Biova comes from the saltiest inland body of water on earth and impresses with its pure, natural quality. The white sea salt from Jordan is gently harvested and carefully dried. The fine grain size of 0.1–1.0 mm dissolves quickly and is ideal as a universal table salt.

With a moisture content of a maximum of 2%, the salt remains free-flowing and easy to dose. It is free from artificial additives and is therefore perfect for a purist, unadulterated style of cooking. The consistently high quality of Biova bulk goods makes it interesting both for private households and for professional gastronomy.

In everyday cooking, the fine Dead Sea salt refines soups, sauces, vegetable dishes, meat, fish and salads. Thanks to its fine structure, it is excellent for salt mills, salt shakers and for stirring directly into liquids. This way you always have a versatile sea salt at hand that rounds off your dishes subtly and harmoniously.

Origin

The salt comes from the Dead Sea in Jordan, a depression around 400 m below sea level. The hot, dry climate there, with temperatures around 40 °C and very little rainfall, ensures an exceptionally high salt content. The clear, low-pollution air of the region supports the production of a pure, white sea salt.

Cultivation / Production / Harvest

The Dead Sea salt is obtained by evaporating the mineral-rich water in shallow ponds. Sun and wind concentrate the brine until crystals form, which are then harvested and washed. After gentle drying, the salt is ground to a fine grain size of 0.1–1.0 mm and filled as bulk goods for Biova.

Special features

Characteristic of this sea salt are its fine, flaky structure and its pure white color. It is 100% natural and contains no anti-caking agents or other additives. The combination of unique geological conditions and careful processing makes it a high-quality basic product for the kitchen.

Differences in origin and processing

Compared to classic sea salts from oceans, Dead Sea salt is formed in a closed inland sea with an exceptionally high salt content. The extreme evaporation caused by heat and dryness leads to a different mineral composition than that of Atlantic or Mediterranean salt. By specifically grinding it to a fine grain size, Biova obtains an especially well-soluble table salt.

Taste & aroma

The fine Dead Sea salt tastes pleasantly salty and neutral, without intrusive bitter notes. It has no dominant inherent smell and does not affect the aroma of the dishes. This makes it ideal for all dishes in which the natural taste of the ingredients should be in the foreground.
