Our truffle salt is a composition of two raw materials: -Summer truffle: It is the most common, central European truffle species. Their size varies from that of hazelnuts to that of apples. The exterior is black, rough, the interior is yellowish-white marbled on a ripe brown ground. The main season lasts from July to the beginning of winter, searched for with trained dogs or truffle pigs in deciduous forests. Aromatic scents of truffles, garlic or malt characterise the ripe mushrooms. Their taste is mild and pleasant. -Fine salt flakes (Petalos de Sal) Our Petalos de Sal come from a mountainous region in the Spanish province of Alicante, a good 40 km from the Mediterranean. Here, at a saline spring, there is an ancient salt works where the white gold has been extracted without interruption since the Middle Ages. The premium product of the ¨Saline la Fortuna¨ is produced in a closed system and elaborate process, free of chemical additives - the crunchy and sought-after rock salt flakes. Ingredients: Salt flakes 97.5%, summer truffle 2.5%.
