Product information "Penja pepper I white I whole"
Cameroon, located in the west of Central Africa on the Atlantic Ocean, is considered a fertile country with predominantly tropical hot temperatures and high rainfall. Large parts of Cameroon are volcanically shaped and the mineral-rich soils, in combination with rain and hot temperatures, enable lush harvests. In the Littoral region, the optimal climatic conditions are used to cultivate one of the most famous peppers of our time - Penja Pepper. This pepper is cultivated according to ancient tradition in small village communities. White penja pepper is made from fully ripe pepper berries. After harvesting, the berries are soaked under running mountain water for several days until the outer skin comes off. The cream-coloured peppercorns are then dried in the sun. A strong, fruity spiciness with a discreet menthol note is characteristic of the white Penja pepper. Fish, poultry, seafood, light sauces and soups, vegetables are just some of the dishes to which the white penja gives a perfect spiciness.
