Organic Maple Sugar | Granules 1-3mm

Maple sugar is a sugar speciality obtained from the juice of the sugar maple from the southern regions of Canada and the northeastern USA. In the spring months, the maple tree is drilled with small holes to extract the xylems juice. The famous maple syrup is made from this syrup and the syrup is crystallized by very elaborate evaporation, resulting in the rare maple sugar. A sugar maple produces only 2-3 kilograms of sugar a year. The taste of maple sugar reminds a little bit of caramel and liquorice. Maple sugar is ideal for biscuits, crepes, teas and fine flambé desserts.
