Product information "Blue salt | 0,2-1,0 mm"

One of the rarest table salts in the world is the blue salt, a rock salt like from 1001 nights. The blue salt has a rare colour variety, which is caused by shifts and vacancies in the crystal lattice and makes the salt appear bluish. The blue salt vein is only 30-80cm thick and runs through a huge salt dome. The salt is mined and sorted by hand. The annual output is a low 90-120 tons. Unique for a table salt is the high potassium content, which is noticeable in taste by a fine tingling on the tongue. The optical effect of the blue components is particularly effective in transparent salt mills. We recommend blue salt for seafood, vegetables and salads.
