In the Catalan hinterland there are numerous salt domes, the last remnants of the former primeval sea. Unlike most underground salt deposits, there is a special feature here - these natural salts sometimes have a high content of potassium, which results in a natural sodium reduction of the salt of 25-40%. Since this is a 100% natural product, there is no need to add lysine hydrochloride to the salt - an amino acid which many sodium-reduced salts contain to reduce the otherwise unpleasant bitterness. Valuable accompanying minerals such as iron make our reduced-sodium salt appear slightly pink. Use our reduced-sodium salt as you would any other table salt. You can thus significantly reduce sodium intake without having to sacrifice the taste of a pleasant salty note in your meals.
