Product information "Alpine salt fine I 0,2-2,0mm I Bulk"
Alpine salt is, as the name suggests, a rock salt, deep under the mighty rock layers of the Alps. The salt dome was formed as a thick layer of salt over 250 million years ago due to climatic and geological changes caused by the drying out of a primeval ocean. For centuries, our natural Alpine salt has been extracted by miners exclusively from the best natural salt deposits where the salt is purest. Already in the Bronze Age, Alpine salt was transported via trade routes to large parts of Europe and was a coveted and valuable commodity. Even today, the rock salt is extracted pure and unchanged, predominantly by hand, from the salt gallery. The Alpine salt convinces with its pleasantly mild taste and its beige-red brown appearance. Thanks to numerous accompanying minerals, this natural salt is particularly suitable for meat dishes of all kinds. Alpine salt is ideally suited as table salt for daily use.
