Our Indian sun flakes are harvested in exactly the same way as the Fleur de Sel or Flor de Sal. They come from the North East of India and are exclusively harvested by hand using the traditional wooden scoops that lift the crystalized salt ‘flowers’ from the water. The drying process then takes place and this is where our salt changes from a normal ‘Fleur de Sel’ to a beautiful salt flake similar to the delicate and beautiful Murray River salt. Its exceptionally smooth flavor flakes are achieved from the sun as well as the calcium and magnesium content. The Indian Flakes are perfect as a table salt, or finishing salt.
