The lemon myrtle grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree on sandy and stony soils near the Australian rainforests. The small elliptical leaves of this robust plant exude a wonderfully fresh and intense lemon aroma with a hint of eucalyptus and camphor. Lemon myrtle is a true all-rounder in the kitchen. Whether fish, seafood, poultry, vegetables, Asian cuisine, salads, pastries and desserts, drinks, the applications are very versatile. As the lemon myrtle is very intense, it should be added sparingly and preferably only at the end of the preparation process. A sea salt or Fleur de Sel flavoured with lemon myrtle tastes great on fish dishes. Product is cut: 3-6 mm
