Raw cane sugar | fine | 0.6-1.0 mm
Made from 100% pure cane sugar, this brown raw cane sugar with its fine caramel, malt and vanilla notes is ideal for sweetening hot drinks such as coffee and tea, but also for cocktails and fruit.
Muscovado sugar | fine | 0-0.3 mm | dark
Muscovado is a whole cane sugar from the island of Mauritius. The climatic conditions of the small island in the Indian Ocean are ideal and the soil conditions are perfect for sugar cane cultivation. Muscovado has a molasses content of 10-15%, therefore its consistency is very soft, clumpy and moist. The molasses is produced when the sugar juice is cooked and stirred until a viscous mass is formed. The molasses are then heated again until the remaining water has evaporated. Soft taste of toffee and malt make it unique in aroma. Muscovado gives food and warm drinks a particularly hearty sweetness. It is ideal for sweetening marinades, dark sauces, chutneys and hot drinks of all kinds.
Xylitol birch sugar (E967) | fine | 0.1 mm
Our birch sugar, also known as xylitol, comes exclusively from European production, mainly from Finland. The raw material for the production is hardwood from birch and beech, from sustainable forestry. The extraction of xylitol is very complex. Our xylitol is extracted from the wood sugar xylose in a technically complex process. Small chopped wood is mixed with water. The wood water mass is then cleaned and filtered until all foreign matter has completely separated from the xylitol. No tree is felled exclusively for xylitol production. The wood, which cannot be used for paper production, is particularly suitable for birch sugar. The special feature of xylitol is its cariostatic and anticariogenic effect, which has been proven in various clinical studies. Birch sugar has slightly less sweetening power than standard household sugar and has only a slight influence on blood sugar levels, making it very suitable for diabetics. It is not recommended for children under 3 years of age, but adults should also change to this sugar only slowly, as excessive consumption of xylitol can have a laxative effect.
