Organic syrah red wine salt | spice blend

The grape variety Syrah is a very old vine with small berries and very good qualities. The probable origin is the area around the Persian city of Shiraz. Today, the grape variety belongs to the big six of the most cultivated wines in the world. Besides France, the grape variety is mainly grown in Australia and Spain. Particularly high qualities of the strong, deep-dark Syrah are obtained in the Spanish region of Castilla-La Mancha, in the Castilian countryside. The Syrah used for our red wine salt comes from an organic winery in this region. The salt used for our red wine salt flakes comes from a mountainous region of the Spanish province of Alicante - our Petalos de Sal. Special salt flakes are used for the red wine salt, which absorb and bind the red wine particularly well. Our organic Syrah red wine salt goes well with all dark meats such as beef, game, lamb or with dark poultry, short roasts, salads and for ¨finishing¨ at the table.
