Bio Naturland | Chili | rot | geschroten | 2-10mm

Product information "Bio Naturland | Chili | rot | geschroten | 2-10mm"

What is it about / Product description

Organic Naturland chili from India is a coarsely crushed chili spice with a grain size of around 2–10 mm. The bright red chili flakes bring intense heat and color to your kitchen and can be easily dosed thanks to their flake structure. In Biova’s generous 1 kg pack, this spice is particularly suitable for heavy users and professional kitchens.

Thanks to controlled organic cultivation in accordance with Naturland guidelines, this organic chili stands for reliably monitored quality. The pods are gently dried and then coarsely crushed so that structure, color and aroma are preserved as well as possible. Biova places great value on careful processing in order to offer a consistently high‑quality chili spice.

In curries, stews, pasta sauces or barbecue blends, Organic Naturland Chili demonstrates its versatile usability. The coarse chili flakes allow precise adjustment of heat – both when cooking and when seasoning directly at the table. This way you give your dishes a distinctive, hot‑spicy and visually appealing touch with Biova chili flakes.

Origin

The chili pods come from India, a classic growing region for hot chilies. Warm climate and many hours of sunshine promote an intense aroma and pronounced heat. Cultivation is carried out according to the strict guidelines of the Naturland association in controlled organic farming.

Cultivation / Production / Harvest

The chili plants are cultivated on selected organic fields and harvested at the optimal stage of ripeness. After harvesting, the pods are gently dried to preserve color and flavor. They are then coarsely crushed into flakes of about 2–10 mm and packed by Biova after quality control.

Special features

The coarse grain size of 2–10 mm clearly distinguishes these chili flakes from finely ground powder and ensures a visible texture in the dish. Thanks to organic and Naturland certification, the origin is particularly easy to trace. The strong red color also makes the spice a visual highlight on many dishes.

Differences in origin and processing

Indian chili is known for its clear, direct heat and spicy aroma, which integrates perfectly into spice blends. Gentle drying and coarse crushing retain more structure than heavily milled products. This makes it easier to visually dose the heat compared to powder and adjust it to the desired level of spiciness.

Taste & aroma

From a sensory perspective, the chili flakes convince with a pronounced but not overpowering heat. On the nose they show warm, slightly fruity and spicy notes. When cooked, they develop an intense chili aroma, while when used as a table seasoning the fresh, direct heat is particularly noticeable.
