Origin

The black pyramid salt comes from Pakistan, a region with a long tradition of producing sea salts under warm, dry climatic conditions. Biova ensures controlled origin to keep the colour, grain size and structure of the black granulate consistently stable.

Production / refinement

The base material is sea salt obtained by evaporating saline water. During crystallisation, the characteristic hollow pyramid shapes are formed, then dried, coloured deep black with activated charcoal, sieved to a 2–9 mm grain size and packed as decorative Biova decorative salt.
