Fine white xylitol birch sugar from Finland 0.1 mm

Product information "Fine white xylitol birch sugar from Finland 0.1 mm"

Product description

Discover xylitol birch sugar as a fine-grained, white sugar substitute produced in Europe, mainly in Finland. This hardwood-based sweetener looks, measures and handles much like standard granulated sugar.

The sugar alcohol E967 supplied by Biova is obtained in a multi-stage purification process and delivers consistently high, food-grade quality. The very fine particle size of around 0.1 mm ensures fast and even dissolution in liquids and doughs.

In your kitchen this sugar alternative can be used almost one-to-one like regular table sugar – for baking, for sweetening hot and cold drinks or for desserts. Biova birch sugar supports a conscious, reduced-sugar diet without having to give up familiar sweetness.

Origin

This xylitol birch sugar comes from Finland, with its cool climate and long-established sustainable forestry. It is produced mainly from birch and beech wood sourced from controlled European forests.

Cultivation / production / harvest

For production, hardwood is chipped and treated with water to release the wood sugar xylose. Through multi-stage purification and filtration, pure xylitol is obtained and processed into fine, flaky crystals with a uniform particle size of approximately 0.1 mm, then packed by Biova in bulk.

Special features

In the specialist literature, xylitol is described as cariostatic and anticariogenic and is therefore often used in sugar-free oral care products. Biova birch sugar makes use of wood that is not suitable for paper production, allowing the resource to be used efficiently without felling trees solely for xylitol production.

Differences in origin and processing

Compared with xylitol from non-European sources, Finnish production offers high quality standards and clearly defined raw materials. Extraction from birch and beech hardwood differs from variants made from corn or other plants and allows clear labelling as birch sugar within the Biova range.

Taste & aroma

Xylitol birch sugar has a mild, clean sweetness with slightly less sweetening power than table sugar. Typical of sugar alcohols, it creates a pleasantly cooling sensation in the mouth with a neutral aroma – ideal for delicate baked goods, desserts and drinks.

Suggested uses

  • As a highly soluble sugar substitute for sweetening coffee, tea, cocoa and cold drinks
  • For reduced-sugar baking of cakes, cookies, muffins and yeast doughs
  • For desserts, yogurts, muesli, fruit salads and homemade jams
