Product information "Hawaiian decorative salt Alea Red Gold, red, 1–2 mm granules"
Product description
This Alea Red Gold Hawaiian decorative salt is based on Pacific sea salt from the island of Molokai and is coloured with fine red volcanic clay. The coarse 1–2 mm granules have an even, intense red colour and are ideal for decorative use without any contact with food.
For this red decorative salt, Biova relies on natural sun drying and careful sieving to create a homogeneous, free-flowing granulate. The combination of sea salt and iron oxide-rich volcanic clay delivers a striking look that clearly stands out from classic white decorative salts.
Use Hawaiian decorative salt specifically in bowls, on display surfaces or as part of interior concepts to create strong red accents. Biova decorative salt is designed exclusively as a decorative item and is mainly used in foodservice, hospitality, trade fair construction or shop window displays.
Important information
Not suitable for consumption. This product is intended for decorative purposes only and must not be used on or in connection with food.
Origin
The sea salt for this Biova decorative salt comes from the Hawaiian island of Molokai in the USA. The maritime climate and strong sunshine provide ideal conditions for gently harvesting the Pacific sea salt that forms the base of this red granulate.
Production / processing
Filtered seawater is collected in shallow ponds and concentrated using solar energy alone until salt crystals form. After harvesting, they are dried, carefully sieved and refined with finely milled volcanic clay to create 1–2 mm granules.
Key features
The hallmark of this Biova decorative salt is its deep red colour, created by iron oxide from the volcanic clay. The coarse grain size, crystalline structure and stable shape ensure a long-lasting, highly visible decorative effect in bowls, glasses or on display surfaces.
Origin and processing differences
Unlike many decorative granulates made from refined salt, this product is based on naturally harvested Pacific sea salt from a tropical climate. The deliberate blending with volcanic clay gives it its distinctive red appearance and clearly sets it apart from white or artificially coloured granulates.

- Decorative design of bowls, glasses and display surfaces in restaurants and hotels without any contact with food
- Creative room, table and shop window decorations, for example in showrooms, show kitchens or reception areas without any contact with food
