Product information "Organic Bourbon Vanilla Powder from Madagascar 1.05 kg"
Product description
Biova organic Bourbon vanilla is a finely ground, deep dark brown vanilla powder from Madagascar with an intense, warm, sweet aroma. It concentrates the full flavour spectrum of whole, fermented vanilla beans in a uniformly dosable powder form for professional and home kitchens.
Only selected beans from certified organic cultivation are used. They are gently fermented, dried and milled into a fine, slightly flaky powder. The product consists of 100% ground vanilla with no added sugar, carriers or artificial flavourings and, supplied as a 1.05 kg bulk pack, is particularly cost-effective.
In use, Biova organic vanilla powder lends desserts, baked goods, creams, hot drinks and breakfast creations a balanced, natural vanilla note. Even small amounts evenly flavour doughs, cream, yoghurt or smoothies and allow convenient dosing in sweet dishes and selected savoury recipes.
Origin
The vanilla beans come from Madagascar, one of the best-known growing regions for Bourbon vanilla. The tropical climate, high humidity and nutrient-rich soils support a complex aroma profile and consistent spice quality.
Cultivation / production / harvest
The vanilla orchids grow in mixed cultures in the shade of other plants and are traditionally pollinated by hand. After harvesting, the green beans undergo a multi-stage fermentation and drying process before being gently ground into a fine, flaky powder with a homogeneous particle size.
Special features
Unlike vanilla sugar or flavour blends, this is a pure food-grade spice made from 100% ground vanilla beans. The fine, slightly flaky texture makes it easy to stir into liquid and solid mixtures without forming lumps, which makes Biova’s bulk format particularly attractive for foodservice, bakeries, ice cream parlours and artisan producers.
Differences in origin and processing
Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar is known for its rounded, sweet, warm aroma with light caramel and floral notes. Traditional fermentation and slow drying create a multi-layered flavour profile, and because both seeds and pods are fully milled, all aroma-rich components are retained in the vanilla powder.
Taste & aroma
On the nose, the powder shows an intense, natural vanilla fragrance with creamy, slightly caramel-like and subtly floral nuances. On the palate, the black to dark brown powder tastes full-bodied, harmonious and long-lasting, without seeming artificial or overpowering.
