Product information "Organic Erythritol Sweetener 0.2–1 mm"
Product description
Organic erythritol is a zero-calorie sugar alternative made from non-GMO corn, with a fine, white, crystalline texture. The 0.2–1 mm particle size is similar to fine table sugar and dissolves well in liquids and dry blends.
With around 70% of the sweetness of sugar, Biova erythritol makes it easy to reduce sugar in the diet without adding calories. Careful processing ensures high purity, a uniform particle size and consistently reliable sweetening performance.
In everyday use, organic erythritol is a versatile sweetener for drinks, desserts and baked goods. Thanks to the fine, fluffy crystals, conventional sugar can often be partially or completely replaced in many recipes and easily integrated into a reduced-sugar kitchen.
Origin
This erythritol comes from China, where corn is grown under suitable climatic conditions. Selected Biova partners ensure consistently bright colour and fine, white, food-grade crystals.
Cultivation / Production / Harvest
The starting material is non-GMO corn, from which starch is first obtained. This starch is converted into erythritol (E968) by fermentation, then purified, crystallised and adjusted to the fine 0.2–1 mm particle size.
Characteristics
Key features are its zero calories and about 70% of the sweetness of sugar. The fine, fluffy structure makes it easy to blend with other ingredients, although products with a high content of sugar alcohols should be consumed in moderation.
Differences in origin and processing
Depending on the country of origin, raw material quality and fermentation technology can influence purity and crystal structure. Biova uses standardised processes and regular quality checks to ensure consistent product quality.
Taste & aroma
Erythritol is almost neutral in taste and provides a light, pleasant sweetness without a dominant aftertaste. A subtle cooling effect on the tongue is typical, while the aroma remains neutral so that other flavours in the recipe stay in the foreground.
