Organic lovage leaves | rubbed | 1-6 mm

Product information "Organic lovage leaves | rubbed | 1-6 mm"

What it is / Product description

Biova organic lovage leaves, known as classic Maggi herb, are an aromatic organic spice for soups, stews and sauces. The rubbed, bright green leaves with a particle size of around 1–6 mm are offered as fine to flaky bulk goods by the kilogram and are designed for professional use.

Thanks to controlled organic cultivation and gentle drying, the organic lovage leaves retain their intense, celery-like aroma and fresh colour. The homogeneous structure facilitates even distribution, supports standardised recipes and ensures reproducible results in gastronomy and food production.

In broths, braised dishes, vegetable pans or herb blends, the leaves add savoury depth and a typical soup-vegetable note. They are suitable both as a single spice and for your own soup-vegetable and seasoned salt creations, and can be easily dosed and mixed thanks to their fine / flaky structure.

Origin

The lovage leaves come from Austrian organic cultivation, where the temperate climate supports slow aroma development and robust plant growth. Short distances between field and drying help preserve the colour and fragrance of the green bulk goods and ensure consistently high Biova quality.

Cultivation / Production / Harvest

The lovage is cultivated according to organic guidelines, without synthetic crop protection agents or mineral nitrogen fertilisers. After harvesting, the leaves are gently dried, rubbed, sieved to the defined particle size of approx. 1–6 mm and then filled as fine / flaky bulk goods in approx. 1.01 kg containers.

Special features

The combination of certified organic quality, Austrian origin and homogeneous, fine / flaky particle size makes this Maggi herb particularly easy to process. As green bulk goods in kilogram containers, it is ideal for large-scale kitchens, manufactories and the food industry that require a reliable herb base with a consistent flavour profile from Biova.

Differences in origin and processing

Depending on the country of origin, lovage leaves can vary in aroma, leaf structure and colour; Austrian goods are often balanced in flavour without being too dominant. The rubbed processing with defined particle size differs significantly from whole leaves and allows precise dosing, good flowability and optimal mixability in bulk and retail variants.

Taste & aroma

Lovage, also known as Maggi herb, has an intense, savoury taste with celery-like, hearty notes. The aroma is reminiscent of classic soup vegetables and robust soup seasonings, so that even small amounts are sufficient to give dishes a characteristic green herbal note and aromatic depth.
