Organic marjoram | rubbed | 1-3 mm

Product information "Organic marjoram | rubbed | 1-3 mm"

What is it about / Product description

Biova Organic Marjoram is a finely rubbed herb seasoning from certified organic cultivation in Egypt. The green, flaky leaves with a grain size of around 1–3 mm are easy to sprinkle and allow for even dosing.

Gentle drying and careful rubbing help to largely preserve the typical marjoram aroma. The approx. 1.01 kg quantity, filled as bulk goods, is tailored to the requirements of gastronomy, large-scale kitchens and manufactories.

In soups, stews, braised dishes as well as vegetable and meat dishes, Biova Organic Marjoram supports a harmonious, mildly spicy herbal note. This provides a versatile organic herb seasoning for everyday professional kitchen use.

Origin

The marjoram comes from Egypt, where warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine create ideal conditions for aromatic herbs. Selected organic growing areas ensure consistent quality and an appealing green colour.

Cultivation / Production / Harvest

Cultivation follows organic guidelines with gentle soil management and controlled irrigation. Harvesting takes place at the point of optimal aroma development; the leaves are then dried, rubbed, sieved to 1–3 mm and filled as bulk goods in units of around 1.01 kg.

Special features

Characteristic are the fine, flaky structure and the very good sprinkling properties, which allow a homogeneous distribution in the dish. The bulk variant is designed for heavy users who require consistent Biova quality and efficient storage.

Differences in origin and processing

Compared to marjoram from cooler regions, Egyptian marjoram often develops a warmer, more intense aroma. The targeted rubbing and sieving distinguishes this product from coarsely cut or whole leaves and makes precise dosing easier.

Taste & smell

On the nose, the herb is aromatic, herbaceous and slightly sweet with a subtle spicy undertone. In taste, it is mild, rounded and herb-forward, without heat or bitterness, making it a versatile base seasoning in professional kitchens.

Possible applications

  • For seasoning soups, stews, braised and oven dishes in gastronomy and large-scale kitchens.
  • As a herbal ingredient for fried potatoes, vegetable pans, casseroles and Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
  • For meat and sausage specialities, fillings, minced meat dishes and manufactory recipes.
