Product information "Organic Mediterranean Sea Salt | fine | 0,2-1,0 mm"
What it is / Product description
Biova Organic Mediterranean Sea Salt comes from Croatian saltworks on the Adriatic coast and is gently obtained from seawater. The fine, white table salt with a grain size of around 0.2–1.0 mm dissolves quickly and distributes evenly in dishes.
Thanks to its natural processing without chemical additives, the original structure of the sea salt is largely preserved. The bulk quality with approx. 1.05 kg per unit is designed for reliable use in home kitchens, gastronomy and food production.
In everyday cooking, the fine sea salt is suitable as a universal table salt for seasoning soups, sauces, vegetables, meat and fish dishes. It is ideal for salt shakers, spice blends and Mediterranean-inspired recipes where you want to rely on consistent Biova quality.
Origin
The sea salt is harvested in Croatia in a shallow lagoon on the clean Adriatic coast of the Mediterranean. Sun and wind ensure slow evaporation of the seawater and even crystal formation, far away from heavy industry.
Cultivation / Production / Harvest
In traditional seawater saltworks, Mediterranean seawater is channeled into shallow ponds and evaporated exclusively by sun and wind. After crystallization, the salt is harvested manually, gently dried and milled to a fine grain size of 0.2–1.0 mm.
Special features
Characteristic is the combination of fine grain size, mildly salty taste and the bulk format from Biova. This natural sea salt is therefore suitable both for households with higher consumption and for gastronomy, artisan producers and the food industry.
Differences in origin and processing
In contrast to industrially refined table salt, this Mediterranean sea salt remains closer to its natural composition. The slow evaporation in open ponds, manual harvesting and origin from the Croatian Adriatic result in a different mineral profile than Atlantic or rock salts.
Taste & aroma
The salt has a clear, mildly salty taste without intrusive bitter notes and supports the natural flavor of foods. It is neutral in smell and is therefore equally suitable for cold and hot dishes as well as for delicate spice blends.
