Cultivation / Production / Harvest

For this Biova sea salt, seawater is directed into shallow evaporation ponds and concentrated exclusively by sun and wind. After crystallisation, the salt is harvested by hand using traditional tools, gently dried and then sieved. This creates an even, granulated grain size of 1–3 mm, which is excellently suited for mills, bulk goods and further processing.
