Product information "Organic Naturland black pepper, whole"
Product description
Biova Organic Naturland Pepper consists of whole black peppercorns from Sri Lanka and is offered in bulk for high-volume users. The carefully dried berries have a deep colour, even grain size and a classic warm, spicy aroma.
Produced in line with Naturland standards, this black pepper guarantees transparent origin and certified organic cultivation. Whole peppercorns keep their aroma for a long time and can be freshly ground in a mill or crushed in a mortar to release their full flavour.
In the kitchen, this organic pepper is extremely versatile – from soups, sauces and stews to vegetables, meat and fish, as well as marinades and dressings. Supplied as convenient bulk in a 1.05 kg bag, it is ideal for foodservice, spice manufacturers and serious home cooks.
Origin
The pepper plants for this Biova pepper thrive in Sri Lanka’s tropical climate with abundant rainfall and fertile soils. These conditions promote slow ripening of the berries and a complex aroma with well-balanced heat.
Cultivation / production / harvest
Biova Organic Naturland Pepper is grown without synthetic pesticides and without mineral nitrogen fertilisers. The green berries are hand-picked shortly before full ripeness, gently dried, cleaned and then packed by Biova as bulk in bags.
Key features
As a bulk product with whole peppercorns, this organic spice is ideal for foodservice, spice manufacturers and other heavy users. The combination of Naturland organic quality, careful grading and uniform grain size ensures a consistent heat profile and long-lasting freshness.
Origin and processing differences
Pepper from Sri Lanka is known for its finely tuned, aromatic profile with clear but not overpowering heat. Gentle drying and thorough post-cleaning at Biova have a positive effect on colour, purity and grain size.
Taste & aroma
These black peppercorns smell warm, spicy and slightly resinous with subtle fruity notes. On the palate they deliver clear, lingering heat that gives dishes structure without overpowering them, especially when freshly ground.
