Organic pepper | whole | black

Product information "Organic pepper | whole | black"

What it is / Product description

Biova organic pepper comes from certified organic cultivation in Vietnam and Sri Lanka and is offered as whole, deep black peppercorns. The uniform grain size and intense color make this spice a reliable base for everyday cooking. As a classic black pepper, it gives dishes a clear, piquant heat and a warm, spicy aroma.

Thanks to careful fermentation and gentle drying, the essential oils in the organic pepper are preserved in the best possible way. The whole corns are particularly stable in aroma and develop their full-bodied pepper profile when freshly ground. Biova relies on bulk goods with consistent quality, ideal for heavy users, delicatessens and the food service industry.

In the kitchen, the black organic pepper proves to be extremely versatile – from soups, stews and sauces to vegetable and meat dishes, as well as marinades and rubs. For optimal use of the fresh aroma, grind or crush the peppercorns in a mortar just before serving. In this way, Biova organic pepper supports an aromatic, varied everyday and professional cuisine.

Origin

The pepper vines grow in selected cultivation areas of Vietnam and Sri Lanka under tropical climate with high rainfall and warm temperatures. These conditions promote even growth of the berries and a pronounced development of aroma. Both countries of origin are established for stable qualities in the field of black pepper.

Cultivation / Production / Harvest

The pepper comes from certified organic cultivation, where synthetic crop protection agents are not used. The berries are harvested at the optimal stage of ripeness, then fermented and gently dried until they develop their typical black color. Afterwards, the whole corns are cleaned, sorted and packed as bulk goods in containers of around 1.05 kg.

Special features

Characteristic are the whole grain size (chunks / whole) and the deep black color, which indicate careful drying. As a bulk variant, this black pepper is particularly suitable for kitchens with higher consumption that value consistent quality. The combination of organic quality, intense heat and practical large packaging makes it a versatile basic spice in the Biova range.

Differences in origin and processing

Vietnamese pepper often shows a clear, direct heat and a straightforward aroma, while pepper from Sri Lanka tends to develop somewhat more complex, slightly fruity nuances. Processing as whole corns differs significantly from ground variants, as the aroma remains stable for longer and is only released when ground. Organic cultivation in both countries of origin supports a nature-friendly, traceable production.

Taste & smell

The black pepper smells warm, spicy and slightly resinous with classic pepper notes. In taste, it shows a pronounced yet well-balanced heat, accompanied by earthy and subtly fruity nuances. When freshly ground, it develops an intense, full-bodied pepper aroma that clearly structures and rounds off dishes.
