Product information "Organic peppermint, cut 2–5 mm, from Egypt"
Product description
Discover organic peppermint as a finely cut, bright green mint herb from certified organic cultivation in Egypt. The leaves are cut to around 2–5 mm and deliver a clean, intensely fresh mint aroma with a cooling, herbal character.
At Biova, gentle processing is key: the organic peppermint is carefully dried so that colour, fragrance and flavour are preserved as well as possible. The uniform cut makes it easy to dose precisely and blend with other herbs or spices, both in professional kitchens and in artisan production.
In everyday use, the dried mint herb is extremely versatile – from classic peppermint tea and herbal blends through to desserts and smoothies. Oriental-style dishes, dips and homemade lemonades also benefit from the fresh mint notes of Biova organic peppermint.
Origin
The peppermint comes from organic farming in Egypt, where warm days and cooler nights create ideal conditions for aromatic herbs. Selected growing areas ensure consistent, certified organic quality for Biova bulk packs.
Cultivation / production / harvest
Cultivation follows organic farming standards without synthetic crop protection agents or mineral nitrogen fertilisers. After harvesting, the leaves are gently dried and then cut to a uniform size of approx. 2–5 mm.
Special features
Typical characteristics are the even cut size and the fresh green colour, which indicate careful drying and suitable storage conditions. Supplied as a bulk pack of around 1.05 kg per unit, this mint herb is ideal for foodservice, tea packers, artisan producers and other high-volume users.
Differences in origin and processing
Peppermint from Egypt develops a pronounced aroma with a high content of essential oils thanks to intense sunlight and dry air. Biova tailors drying and cutting specifically to this raw material to preserve the natural mint flavour as fully as possible.
Taste & aroma
On the nose, there is a clear, fresh mint note with a cooling character and fine herbal spice. On the palate, the peppermint is intense yet well balanced and not overly bitter, adding a fresh, herbal impression to teas, dishes and drinks.
Suggested uses
- Infuse as a classic peppermint tea or in herbal tea blends.
