Product information "Organic Rechi Chili | ground | red | Scoville: 5,000-15,000"
What is it about / Product description
Organic Rechi Chili is a finely ground, bright red chili powder with a medium heat level of around 5,000–15,000 Scoville. Selected pods from Spain, Uganda and India are processed at Biova into a harmonious spice composition. The result is an aromatic chili seasoning that combines heat, color and flavor in a balanced way.
Thanks to its fine to slightly flaky grain size, Biova Chili can be precisely dosed and worked evenly into dishes. The bulk product is tailored to the requirements of professional kitchens, manufacturers and large-scale users. Careful selection of raw materials and gentle processing support consistent product quality.
In the kitchen, Organic Rechi Chili proves to be versatile – from stews, soups and curries to vegetable dishes, grill marinades and dips. It refines Tex-Mex, BBQ, Mediterranean or Oriental dishes with a well-controllable, medium heat. The chili powder provides a reliable base for creative spice blends with other Biova spices.
Origin
The chilies come from Spain, Uganda, Tanzania, India, Nigeria, China and Zimbabwe, where warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine create ideal conditions for open-field cultivation. Different soils and microclimates shape a multi-layered diversity of aromas. Long-standing partnerships enable Biova to maintain consistent quality of the bulk product.
Cultivation / Production / Harvest
The chili plants are cultivated in open fields and harvested bright red at full ripeness. The pods are then gently dried to preserve color, aroma and heat as far as possible. After that, they are ground into a fine to flaky powder, which is filled as bulk goods into practical large containers of approx. 1.05 kg.
Special features
Characteristic is the heat level in the range of 5,001–20,000 Scoville, which offers a well-dosable medium spiciness. The "fine / flaky" grain size makes it easier to stir into liquid and solid foods and ensures an even heat profile. This creates a reliable basis for standardized recipes and spice blends for professional users.
Differences in origin and processing
Spanish chilies often contribute a slightly fruity, paprika-like note, while pods from Uganda, Tanzania, India, Nigeria, China and Zimbabwe tend to stand for pronounced heat and spicy depth. By deliberately blending these origins, a rounded, multi-layered flavor profile is created. Gentle drying and careful grinding support stable color and aroma throughout the entire batch.
Taste & aroma
Sensory-wise, the chili powder is pleasantly hot without being overpowering, with a warm, slightly fruity spiciness. The aroma is intense and savory and is reminiscent of sun-dried paprika with a clear chili note. The strong red color underlines the appetizing appearance of sauces, marinades and finished dishes.
