Product information "Organic Roasted Trinitario Cacao Nibs from Ecuador"
Product description
Organic cacao from Ecuador in the form of coarsely granulated Trinitario cacao nibs delivers an intense, authentic cacao profile. The brown pieces are created by breaking roasted cacao beans and are ideal as a natural ingredient for creative recipes.
Thanks to controlled fermentation and gentle roasting, Biova organic cacao nibs develop a well-balanced interplay of fine bitterness, roasted notes and subtle fruit nuances. They contain no added sugar, flavourings or preservatives and have a natural cocoa butter content of around 48–50%.
In professional kitchens, foodservice and artisan production, these cacao nibs are highly versatile – as a crunchy topping, for baking or for your own chocolate creations. They add intense cacao flavour and a pleasant crunch to muesli, granola, porridge, desserts and snacks.
Origin
The cacao beans come from Ecuador, a traditional fine cacao growing region with a tropical climate and fertile soils. Constant temperatures and regular rainfall promote complex aromas and high Trinitario quality.
Cultivation / Production / Harvest
The organic cacao is grown on organically managed plantations without synthetic pesticides or mineral fertilisers. After harvest, the beans are carefully fermented, gently dried, roasted and then broken into brown, coarsely crushed nibs.
Key features
A characteristic feature is the high cocoa butter content of approx. 48–50%, which ensures a full-bodied texture and intense aroma. Biova’s brown bulk nibs are offered in a coarse, granulated / crushed grade and are free from added sugar and flavourings.
Origin and processing profile
Ecuadorian Trinitario cacao is known for its aromatic depth and fine fruity notes, which set it apart from beans from other regions. The combination of origin, fermentation and Biova’s tailored roasting defines the characteristic profile of these cacao nibs.
Taste & aroma
On the palate, the nibs offer an intense, slightly bitter cacao flavour, rounded off with delicate nutty and roasted notes. On the nose they show a clear cacao bouquet with hints of roasted beans and fine fruity accents.
