Product information "Organic rosemary, cut 3–5 mm, green, from Morocco"
Product description
Biova organic rosemary from Morocco brings an intense taste of the Mediterranean to your kitchen. The roughly cut needles, about 3–5 mm long, are bright green and develop a resinous, spicy aroma during cooking.
Controlled organic cultivation and gentle drying largely preserve the natural aroma of the rosemary herb. The granulated, coarse cut is ideal for bulk processors, spice packers and the foodservice sector.
In the kitchen, this cut organic rosemary is extremely versatile – from roast potatoes and grilled vegetables to braises and marinades. Herb oils, bread and focaccia doughs and Mediterranean seasoning blends also benefit from the uniform particle size.
Origin
The rosemary comes from Morocco, where sunny, dry-warm conditions and poor soils provide ideal growing conditions for aromatic herbs. These factors promote a high content of essential oils and a robust flavour profile, which Biova specifically selects for premium bulk use.
Cultivation / production / harvest
The rosemary shrubs are grown in line with organic standards without synthetic crop protection agents. Harvesting takes place during the most aromatic growth phase. The branches are then gently dried, freed from woody parts and cut to a granulated size of around 3–5 mm.
Key features
This Biova bulk rosemary is characterised by its coarse, granulated structure, which is easy to dose and releases its aroma slowly during cooking. The fresh green colour and defined cut make this product attractive for high-volume users, artisan producers and for packing into your own containers.
Differences in origin and processing
Compared with rosemary from cooler regions, Moroccan rosemary often shows a more intense, slightly resinous aroma. Climate and soil influence the composition of the essential oils, while the targeted 3–5 mm cut clearly distinguishes this grade from whole needles or finely ground powder.
Taste & aroma
The cut rosemary has a strong, spicy, slightly resinous fragrance with typical Mediterranean herb notes. On the palate it is intense, slightly bitter-spicy and aromatic, and is particularly well suited to slow-cooked dishes and oven-baked recipes.

- Seasoning roast potatoes, grilled vegetables and Mediterranean pan dishes
