Pink rocksalt | pyramides | 5-10 mm |

Product information "Pink rocksalt | pyramides | 5-10 mm |"

What is it about / Product description

This pink rock salt comes from the Himalayan salt deposits in Pakistan and is processed into decorative pyramid crystals with a grain size of 5–10 mm. The delicate, pink flakes look particularly refined on the plate and underline the natural character of your dishes. As a high-quality flake salt, it combines an appealing appearance with a pleasantly mild salty note.

Thanks to its pyramid-shaped structure, the salt dissolves evenly and allows for precise dosing directly at the table. Biova ensures gentle processing of this rock salt so that the natural color and crystal structure are preserved as well as possible. The bulk product is ideal for use in gastronomy or for anyone who likes to use larger quantities of premium flake salts.

Whether as a finishing touch on salads, grilled vegetables or delicate fish – the pink rock salt gives dishes a subtle crunch and a harmonious salt profile. You can also use the pyramid crystals as a decorative element on buffets or in the spice mill. This way, Biova rock salt lets you set accents not only in terms of taste, but also visually.

Origin

The salt is extracted in Pakistan on the edge of the Himalayan mountains, a region known for its traditional rock salts. Ancient salt layers are stored there, which have been mined underground over long periods of time. The characteristic pink color is created by naturally occurring minerals in the rock.

Cultivation / Production / Harvest

As a natural rock salt, this product is not cultivated but obtained from underground deposits. After mining, the salt chunks are cleaned, selected and processed into pyramid-shaped flake salt. They are then sorted into the desired grain size of 5–10 mm and filled as bulk goods with around 1.05 kg per unit.

Special features

The pyramid-shaped structure clearly distinguishes this flake salt from classic coarse rock salt. The delicate crystals can be easily crushed between the fingers and are ideal as a finger salt. In combination with the pink color, this creates a decorative gourmet salt that fits particularly well with the premium Biova range.

Differences in origin and processing

Compared to sea salt flakes, this pink rock salt is not obtained from seawater, but mined from a solid salt deposit. The subsequent processing into pyramid flakes gives it similar properties to classic flake salts, but with the typical mineral composition of Himalayan rock salt. This results in differences in color, structure and mouthfeel.

Taste & aroma

In terms of taste, the pink rock salt is mildly salty with a clear, pure note. The pyramid crystals provide a fine bite without being too dominant. In terms of aroma, the salt is neutral and blends unobtrusively into a wide variety of dishes.
