Product information "Sun Flake Salt, fine 1–2 mm flakes from Pakistan"
Product description
Discover Sun Flake Salt from Pakistan, a fine gourmet salt with delicate, pyramid-shaped crystals. The light salt flakes crumble easily between your fingers and give your dishes a precise, professional finish.
Gentle drying in the sun creates crisp flakes with a consistent grain size of 1–2 mm. Biova relies on carefully selected brine and controlled processing to preserve the typical flake structure and pure taste without any additives.
In creative cooking, use this flake salt specifically as a finishing salt to highlight texture and flavour. Sprinkle the flakes over vegetables, meat, fish or salads just before serving to give simple dishes a refined touch in just a few steps.
Origin
Sun Flake Salt comes from Pakistan, where saline brine is obtained under dry, sunny climatic conditions. In shallow ponds, the water evaporates slowly, allowing fine crystal plates with a characteristic flake structure to form.
Cultivation / Production / Harvest
For Biova gourmet salt, the brine is channelled into evaporation ponds and concentrated solely by sun and wind. The resulting salt plates are carefully skimmed off by hand, gently dried and selected for the 1–2 mm grain size.
Special features
Typical are the light, crisp flakes, clearly different from classic table salt. As a Biova flake salt it allows precise seasoning directly at the plate and is ideal for modern, demanding cuisine.
Differences in origin and processing
Unlike industrially refined table salt, the original crystal structure is preserved here. Sun drying in Pakistan and gentle handcraft give the flakes their characteristic lightness, pyramid shape and delicate crunch.
Taste & aroma
This salt offers a clear, pure salt flavour without intrusive off-notes. Thanks to the fine structure it feels mild on the palate, as the flakes dissolve quickly and distribute evenly over the food, while the aroma remains neutral.
